Napa Valley Wine and Food Excursion 2017; 11/7/2017-11/11/2017 (Napa Valley, California): Considered to be the "flagship" of Andretti's lineup is their Sangiovese. The '16 iteration of this wine is medium ruby in color and has a nice bouquet of strawberrries, raspberries, violets and dark chocolate. Medium-bodied, fresh and with nicely hidden alcohol (despite being listed as 14.8%), it delivers flavors mirroring the nose and wraps them with soft tannins and a modicum of toasty oak. The middle palate is nicely dense and the finish is medium-to-long. If you are looking outside of Tuscany for something made from this grape, this wine is a very respectable surrogate. Drink now-2024.

I got 6 bottles of this for $10 each — best wine purchase ever. Really nicely integrated acidic Sangiovese.
