  Tasting notes compiled on night #3 after a restaurant purchase with dinner.
  The restaurant did not store its wines at cellar temperature, and this could have affected the flavour & quality.
  Dark ruby in colour with aromas of sweet black fruit, oak & cured meat.
  On the palate, full bodied black fruit, blueberry/blackberry/cassis, noticeable but not unpleasant oak, slightly herbaceous, medium acidity, medium soft tannins & a long somewhat peppery finish.
  At 15% ABV, the wine seems a little extracted. And even though not complex, the flavour is enjoyable.
  Points rating would likely be higher from the fresh bottle & proper cellaring conditions.
