  This is a very potent year in La Rioja and the wine is showing very young and austere. There is plants of good tannin but it needs to smooth out. It is very floral, with violet petals, crushed herbs and some sweet oriental spices. This is going to get better but needs at leest 2 years. Buy if you can, the new vintages are made in a new and lighter manner. We will see what the changes will do with the caracter of this bottling.
