  Fortunately, I decanted this wine early so I could taste before serving my guests. I'm guessing I held it past its prime. The wine was tart to my taste.

  Bright, clear and translucent reddish purple color with a nice nose of raspberries, red plum, red cherries, with lots of purple floral components, and sage-like herbaceous nose. The palate is quite medium-boded, slightly tannic, fairly well balanced and moderately savory on the finish. The flavor includes notes of floral and herbaceous qualities nicely interwoven with fresh red fruits think cherries, plums, maybe some prunes, damp forest undergrowth, with a clean integrated oak and a moderate mineral flash towards the end. A nice refreshing wine comprising of some old vine Petit Verdot and Tannant. Very interesting and easy drinking wine with no rough alcoholic edge.
