Almost colourless, spritz in the glass. Juicy fruit on the nose, but with swirling, something saline and a bit unclean. This blows off to leave sweet pear. I wan't sure how sweet this would be; turns out it's decidedly so. Lots more pear, really quite succulent, with just enough acidity to balance it. Quite creamy, too. The closest I can compare it to is a watered-down dessert wine, but really this is quite unlike most wines I've experienced. Wouldn't be to everyone's taste, but it's unusual and pretty tasty. [Screwcap; 10% abv; Villeneuve Wines, £10].
