First time trying this domestic malbec. Huge fan of Delille and was excited to try it. In the glass, it is dark but when held to the light it appears garnet in color. Nose of blue fruits, bramble, and berry. Fresh and well integrated on the palate with flavors of dark/blue fruits, more bramble, and spice. There is a savory element here too....thyme perhaps? Very enjoyable bottle. It paired perfectly with marinated grilled mushroom caps stuffed with grilled ribeye and blue cheese.

Among the most balanced, seamless, well-framed, non-blended Washington Malbecs that I recall tasting. Lush and pure. This noted, it does not provide the same substance, depth, and range as other Delille offerings tasted alongside it. Nor will it age beyond the near term, five to seven years or so.

Red berry fruits. Explodes on the palate. Very spicy. Dusty tannins. Very persistent. Good balance. Long finish.
