High acidity as others have noted but otherwise actually rather bracing and enjoyable. It's odd - it has the heft of a high abv more substantial wine but the acidity and "lightness" of a milder grape. It somehow works. per the usual with Scholium, it's a roll of the dice - their wines tend to either be tragically disappointing or terrible or really, really good and offbeat.

Dark garnet purple color. Tannins are evident, so is mouth tingling acid and slightly oxidized berry fruit nose and palate. Interesting winemaking - hard to tell if it’s intentional or flawed.
