Very pale yellow color with a bouquet and flavor of dried apricots. Good balance with nice acidity, but could have been more nuanced. The third Sheldrake Point Riesling tasted at the winery at the edge of Cayuga Lake, and like the others, without a hint of petrol, so much a part of the profile of German Rieslings. Pinot, one of the winery's cats (along with Noir), made our tasting more enjoyable, quite a feat given the magnificent Finger Lake's fall scenery and weather.
