  Fermented and aged for 6 months in French oak puncheons.
  
  Very fruit-forward nose with aromas of ripe white fruits, yellow apples, some greengage, a little bit of star fruit and a hint of creamy character. The wine is broad, round and moderately full-bodied on the palate with juice, fruit-forward and quite mineral flavors of fresh red apples, some creamy character, a little bit of honey, light white peppery spice notes, a hint of sweet white peach and a touch of wet stones. The wine is moderately high in acidity, giving the wine good freshness and sense of focus. The finish is rich, round and fruity with pretty long flavors of ripe red apples, some greengage, a little bit of cantaloupe and a touch of creaminess.
  
  A very sophisticated, harmonious and well-proportioned Aussie Chardonnay that is lightyears away from the style made in Australia some 5-10 years ago. Even though the wine is fermented and aged in oak, there are no oak flavors whatsoever and the only thing reminding the taster of barrels is the round creaminess you get from the barrel's oxidative environment and aging on the lees. The wine is flavor-wise perhaps a bit too ripe for my taste, making the wine lack a bit depth and that special something, but most of its lesser qualities are redeemed by its terrific balance, good structure and terrific drinkability. A perfect everyday Chardonnay.
