Compared to The Riebke, less forward and spicy nose of blue berries and plums. There are licorice, graphite, floral and seasoned leather notes. Not as dark as the nose of The Wark Family Shiraz, sort of in between the two. Palate is fairly simple, ripe plums and craneberries with Asian spices. Almost no mid-palate to speak off, just entry notes and then finish but tannins are rounded and polite. Lacks fruitiness and freshness for a young wine. After 3 hrs, the mid-palate opens up somewhat with plummy savoury notes and a touch more stucuture.

A light tasting Shiraz, after a couple of sips I felt the lightness became a negative.
