Tight and wound at opening. We “sampled” down to the shoulder. When wine had opened some, but not there yet after 30 mins, we decanted for the last half hour. The wine revealed. More pronounced Sangiovese and Cab franc on the nose. Loads of black fruits, lucious. Bordeaux style, leather and oak and vanilla by hour two. Maintains an elegance and balance despite so much going on. Light on its feet, and beautifully made. Amazing with cleaved rack of lamb chops, mock (potato) frites, and salmoriglio sauce. Is there more available, please? No hurry, will mature many more years.
