  • Would have never guessed that 30 year old village level Pommard could be still drinkable. Yes its past its peak but it was a joy to taste it with fruits and acidity still in tact. Medium red slightly hazy colour. Medium intensity rustic aroma of cherries, cranberries, leather, earth, overripe smoky strawberries, spices, barnyard hints. Medium body, palate is also rustic, earthy and leafy with ripe and smoky red berry flavours, mushroom nuances, high vibrant acidity, medium light density, mellow tannins.
