Bottle 2 of 3. Still drinking well, but likely at it’s peak. Syrah and Carignan evident in intense color and strong tannins. Drinks closer to “new world” than Rhone in my view, but maybe typical of Languedoc wine as my experience with them is limited.

This 6 years old Bottle from Corbiere, is a blend of 45% Syrah, 40% Grenache and 15% Carignan. Very light aromas of ripen fruits, medium red color, initially round at palate with a long bitter and tannin finishing. It is not a 91 as WA mentioned in the Costco bottle, but, is a 87 to 88 Is an upper rate.

Decanted; pretty consistent over two days: cherries, alcohol in nose; firm tannins, vibrant, would pair well with a grilled steak. Probably at or slightly past peak.

Bought at Costco ($24) because it has a sticker on it that says Robert Parker 91... I got a Jeb job again :( The review was actually by Jeb Dunnuck who is no longer at Wine Advocate, and I think I know why: his rating stink, this is not the first time I have been victimized by him. This is a charmless wine with nothing to recommend it, poured it out.
