  Nice moderately deep ruby with a touch of browning edge, reticent simple dark fruit nose. However, lean and graceless on the palate with the berry fruit over shadowed by the acidity and a bitter finish. Some Pommard chunky style but on a small frame. Alhough time in the decanter rounded off the sharp edges a bit, even 5 hours of air time couldn't help that much. It all says underripe to me, and was disappointing even for 2004. Most of the 2004's I have tried have been significantly friendlier.
