A private dinner at a friend's (Baarn, Netherlands): Inaugural vintage. A blend of 40% Riesling Renano, 40% Chardonnay and 20% Tocai Friulano, partially fermented in oak and aged on the lees for 7 months. Good balance of fullness and freshness, textural rather than aromatic (the Riesling component in particular is hard to discern), good weight, added warmth and generosity from the wood.
