Friday Night Brown Bagger (R&R's): Double blind. Some bricking, appears a touch older. Red fruit and herb elements with a touch of bouillon as well. Red fruit and spice with a sour element that I find distracting. I am not certain that this was a representative bottle and would love another crack at this one down the road. (J&J)

Decanted and served, the wine is still way too young to drink now. Deep dark purple in color, the tannins and acid are huge, almost off-putting. There's a lot of great black fruits and baking spice on the palate, but it's hard to get to it through all the tannins and acid. I won't open another bottle for 10 years.

Popped and poured. Black and tannic. Still very youthful, but showing lots of black fruit and spiciness. Hold for a few more years before opening.

Big and dark and kinda macho. It's black. Can't even see through the glass. Just opened. Freshening up. Man is that a powerhouse of black fruit.
