A real spring flower bouquet of a nose, sporting jasmine and acacia flowers. Then fresh sliced honeydew melon in a creamy textured style, moderate acidity, and a touch of heat is easily recognizable on the palate. The finish has a bitter almond element to it that really makes this a quenching and satisfying beverage. Versatility is the key here, as this wine could match everything from sharp goat cheese to rich oily salmon; drinking it by itself would certainly provide plenty of enjoyment in its own right. Besides, the price is also worthy of a QPR mention $15 or so, and I find myself enjoying Oregon Pinot Gris as a great source of every day drinking at more than reasonable prices. 90 points

Medium-bodied, full-flavored Pinot Gris. Peach fruit cocktail flavors nicely balanced by vibrant acidity. High alchohol (14.5%) well disguised, makes food a good idea. Very enjoyable wine.
