My final bottle of three, all disgorged in 2020. Despite the bottle age, this has developed at a snail's pace (a very low PH will do that...), but some richness and more dried berry notes are peaking through. Wiston are top notch, and this always offers brilliant value for the quality on offer.

Salmon pink, solid color. Nose with cool red berry fruit, which is somewhat anonymous and experienced as closed. The palate has high acidity, red apples, cherries, and currants in the finish. Delicious and harmonious, leaving a subdued expression. With some air, I also find hints of citrus in the wine.

92+ At least my 5th bottle of this, but only 2nd rated...Must learn to take notes in company! Disgorged back in 2020. Development is peaking through, but still so fresh and bright. Best in another 3 years? Only patience will tell.
Harmony between light, playful British strawberries (slightly underripe), and deeper crumble-top richness (time on cork showing). Powerful palate that mirrors palate notes. Very clean with typical high acid, big red apple, peppery spice. An English classic, perfect for summer.

Sweet nose of red candy, fresh flowers and yeasty dough.
While the nose is a bit sweet the wine is quite dry. Tart flavors of pink grapefruit/pith, cranberry, gooseberry, a little watermelon jolly rancher, and some of the yeasty dough from the nose, all underpinned with a good shake of bitters and a stony/iron like minerality.
Finish is a bit short, but nice and crisp, and perfect on a warm day. Great pairing with some aged cheese.

Bright, refreshing, and pleasantly tart. Good acidity. A bit linear; certainly it’s focused. Quite enjoyable over three nights — losing the bubbles but, if anything, taking on additional tartness.
