Texas High Plains is not the typical Pinot Noir terrior, but this is a decent effort. Our favorite PN is Oregon Willamette Valley style, and this ain't it, but dollar for dollar we would chose this over many overly fruity Cali style Pinots or many thinner Burgundy types. It will be interesting to see how their style develops on the high plains if they keep trying. Many years ago Pheasant Ridge produced a fantastic version in one lone vintage, so we know it can be done.
