  Hot summer evening picnic at the park. Crisp and citrusy without being too tart, some vanilla. Medium body and acidity. Nothing to blow you away but very enjoyable.

  “Not bad” is probably the best overall descriptor here - as in the way you might utter such a phrase walking out to your car after a movie that wasn’t a total waste of time, but also wasn’t one you’d rush out to tell your friends about either. “Not bad” indeed, but that was about it. Simple and giving in its predictable yellow citrus core fruit, vanilla, and honey flavors. Medium bodied with a light finish. A little fat mid-palate, with not much grip to be had.
  
  The Star can’t hold a candle to the ‘15 B Cellars Barrel Select Chardonnay, which blasts this poor little monkey right off the branch. 90-91 points for the Star. Drink now.
