  • Dinner at ITSPD (Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck, Paragon): Am enjoyable wine that showed very youthfully for its age. The nose did have a ping of chicken poop when first poured, but that quickly dissiapated to reveal a lovely nose of dark cherries, spice and meat, with an edge of earthiness always hovering in the background. The palate was still bright, with juicy acidity framing mature flavours of dried hawthorne fruit and orange peel. The fruit seemed to slightly thin out past the midpalate, but then comes back nicely at the finish, with blush of black cherries, plums and some lovely warm spice. Enjoyable. Don't think there is any more upside with this wine, but it is a nice drink as it is.
