  • I agree 100% with my friend Allred's notes below. Spot on. I liked it even more and give it 93 pts. I agree, too, that this has the stuffing to cellar another 10+ years. I have one more bottle and will TRY, really try, to hold it. But, this is so lovely now...can I resist?

  • Still improving, but very good. Elegant with plenty of strength and length. Will improve for another few years, and hold for many more.

  • Our first bottle, popped and poured as we needed another bottle after the Bordeaux was quickly finished, and quite the juxtaposition. Inky crimson color with notes of camphor, blackberry, cassis, licorice, mocha and incense. Herbaceous undertones. Full-bodied with medium tannins and flavors of cassis, blackberry liqueur, rosemary stem and red plum. Said Domino after she tasted it and saw the label, “ah, a Stefania…that explains why I like it.” Also a nice match for our Christmas lamb loin. On the young side, I’ll hold the remaining bottles for a few years yet…perhaps 2028+ as I think the best is still ahead for this wine.

  • Looks like this was my first bottle of the vintage. Upon opening, the acid on the wine is practically bracing. It mellowed out in the decant with complex high-toned red fruit, eucalyptus, and cedar. Finishes long. Just beginning to come around and has a long life ahead. Grateful to have a bakers dozen left.
