Quite different from the 2014 with red fruit and cinnamon notes, not the black fruit of the 2014. Not as rich as the 2014 but still a nice wine. Nice ruby color but not a deep as the 2014.

Sourced from multiple Columbia Valley vineyards, this deep ruby wine is a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Malbec, 5% Syrah, 3% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. Freshly acidic and medium-bodied, it delivers a core of dark cherry fruit woven with attractive notes of tree bark, anise and pipe tobacco. The alcohol (13.7%), oak and tannins are nicely integrated and the wine retains good balance throughout its solid middle palate and medium-length finish. This quality offering is yet another example of the value that can be had from the Evergreen State. It should be at its best over the next 5-6 years. Drink now-2024.

Balanced. Lacks a defining character at least until it breathes. Opens up well and fruit comes forward at that point.
