Nose: Cherry, dried raspberry, rose petal, cedar. Quite liked the nose, but wish it was bigger.
Palate: Follows the nose with savory dark red cherry, some dark raspberry, faint plum skin and fine dusty cedar, followed by a dollop of green stems and touch of dried green herbs (sage?). The fruit is cool and stoney without much tartness or overripeness. The green stems overwhelm the fruit and becoming slightly dominant.
Structure: Sleek and stoney mouth feel. Balanced attack with medium+ acidity and gentle tannin. Medium finish.
Difficult wine to score 90-92. Wine is more savory and green than I expected. I did appreciate the nose, savory nature, balance and mouth feel. I would appreciate less of a green note, or perhaps more depth and structure. Probably a 90-91 for me, but can see 91-92 for others.

Smells just a hair of stems - some brightness there, and indeed its 45% stem inclusion. Flush on the mid palate, with a clip of the Valdguie on the glass. Nope still there on the second taste, so we will see where it goes in time.
