  Same impression as previous taster. First pour was from Coravin and other than the incense-like nose the wine stayed closed even after an hour in the glass. Second pour two days later was a different beast. The body picked up weight and density, with dry herbal notes like anise and sandalwood. A powerful slightly savory finish. Hasn’t fully matured yet; would like to check back on this in 6+ years, after 2030.

  App: medium ruby.
  Nose: medium plus intensity; aromas of dark cherry, dark plum, cedar, sandalwood, star anise, musky, licorice, toast, perfumed woody and dry herbs notes. It’s developing.
  Palate: dry, high acidity, medium plus tannins, high alcohol, medium plus body, medium plus flavour intensity, bursting dark cherry, dark plum and mixed earthy and woody notes. The finish is medium plus.
  Too young for sure but no doubt a great wine and has a lot of years ahead!

  This is unbelievably good. Deep red fruits, intensely complex nose, very fine tannins. Best wine I’ve had among thirty+ tastings in Burgundy.
