Community Tasting Notes (6) Avg Score: 91.6 points

  • Popped and poured. Rich aroma of red fruit and cigar box. Pure, complex flavor mix includes loam, tobacco, currants. Citric notes in the finish.

An amazing wine and a unique expression of Malbec, but closer in spirit to the Old World than the New. Still tastes quite young and should have plenty of years left.

  • A bit one dimensional. Burst of cranberry followed by a bit of vanilla and spice.

  • violet color. Nose a bit subdued, some vanillin and dark fruits. Palate raspberries and blackberries, stony minerals and earth; as it sits, an appealing brightness and some hints of savory olive.

Very good with grilled meats. Good balance, gets more nuanced with air/time, and still seems to have good potential for the future. 91 pts.

  • This has been open and glass-poured for about 15-minutes at this tasting. It's milk-like, thick consistency is a dark reddish purple. It screams black cherry with a bit of sweet menthol and open pine forest on the lifted nose. The cherry follows through to an extremely full flavored, juicy, and delicious (for my tastes) palate. This is the most impressive of the twenty or so Malbec I've tasted over my "career." The flavor intensity is incredible and without one iota of heat or perception of alcohol. I can't wait to see how this evolves over the coming day or two.

  • Black cherry, almost sour upon opening. After a bit of time in the air it settled down into quite a bright, refined version of Malbec. Still fruity and a little earthy, but not jammy or alcoholic at all (12.4%). Even better day two.
