Lemon curd, peach, deftly done lactic notes, florals, seashell, and hint of what I suspect is botrytis on the nose. It's expansive, mid-plus weighted, sappy and deep with a sense power and precision. A chalky, mineral inflected wine with richness of extract with the soil and fruit pretty seamlessly integrated. This has come together nicely since the last bottle a couple years back. Terrific chardonnay, and just a half step or so off the terrific '14.

Very rich aromas in the nose. Some lemon, brioche, herbs, alcohol which reminds me of grappa. On the palate some apple cider, oak. Nice complex Pouilly-Fuissé. Interesting drink.

Know your Burgundy Vintages (Berry Bros & Rudd): Quite giving, a little rich, some toasty oak giving it a Speyside whisky note. Good now but will improve and smooth off its angular 2016 corners further.

Lemon curd, citrus more than orchard fruit, subtle wood, and florals on the nose. On the palate, it's mouthwatering, stony, chalky, and focused; almost toothsome in its texture. Powerful, yet only mid weighted with depth and clarity, with the acidity deftly balanced with the fruit and geologic matter to steal a term. This has great tension, and seemingly was was cut out of a chunk of limestone. The wood is well done and adds to the whole. Terrific balance. A soil lover's Chardonnay that drinks well above its tariff. Maybe a step behind the wonderful '14, but terrific stuff nonetheless. 92
