First surprise was just how orangey this looked in the glass - it could almost be mistaken for a dessert wine. The nose was typical gewurztraminer, the taste buds wanting to think this was somewhat sweet, whereas it is really medium dry. It's a lovely mouthful, but it needs the right food. We had it with spicy chicken, which was fine. But we think it would be better still with Chinese or Thai food. Liz liked it a lot, hence her pleasure rating of 80. We don't think it will improve, so drink up.
