Given the vintage and many bruising Cabernet's I've had from this vintage...this one is a bit lighter on it's feet. Has very good ruby color with no fading at the 7 year mark. Brighter red fruits on the nose, some plum, baking spices, and hints of vanilla. The palate is showing again more in a newer napa vein versus some of the big bruising Cab's common middle of last decade. Delightful wine and a nice change from some of the hefty Cab's I usually drink.

No detailed notes on this one, but served this originally at cellar temp and it was a massive fruit bomb. As it warmed up over an hour it came much more in to balance. Red and dark fruit, good acidity and very tannic. Should hit its stride in another 3-4 years.

Very smooth drinking cabernet right out of the bottle. Blackberry, black cherry, dark chocolate, a bit of fresh mint. Not overly oaked or ripe. Similar flavors on the palate with nice, juicy black fruits and floral notes. Somewhat subdued compared to previous vintages I have had. Medium+ acidity and tannin, but very fine and smooth. Very nice, well balanced cabernet but a little light on the finish.

Let breathe for 90 min. Beautiful nose with a dark red color. Great legs, tannins have mellowed. Drinking well
