Wild, fresh-picked berries and loads of spice combined in an all-natural package - how do they do this for $23?? Whoa. Navarra is a region on the forefront of the resurgence (does Spanish wine need a resurgence??) of new age producers willing to push boundaries and branch out from tradition. Le Naturel speaks to that philosophy, leaning on a classic varietal but presenting it in a clean, refreshing style. The Arrambarri brothers aim for excitement, and they’ve hit the mark here; the wine displayed incredibly bright, crunchy fruit balanced by a strong floral, herbal sense that left no choice but another sip. Blueberry, currant, ripe pomegranate, and plum all played a part, joined by sage, pine, black pepper, and anise. Dried cranberry, sundried tomato, and licorice made apprearances, while an overall sense of charcoal/smoke carried through. Berry compote and fresh violets played through the irresistable finish - this was most certainly a crushable wine!

Red and black berries and liquorice on the nose as well as the sweaty horse saddle from the minimum intervention wine making.
Dry, low tannin, high alcohol. Juicy, medium fruit concentration and a lively acid.
Great value!
