Pours a clear medium ruby. Pretty good intensity of aromas; yet still smells youthful. Aromas of dark fruits - ripe blackberries and ripe black currants as well as fresh herbs, forest floor and clay. Oak aromas as well - cinnamon and nutmeg which hint toward some time spent in new french oak. Dry on the palate with flavors consistent with the aromas; except for one thing - the fruits on the palate go from ripe to over ripe.
Full bodied with medium + acod and medium + silky soft tannins. Rounded. Attractive medium + finish. Drink now!
Most people called this as CS from either Napa or Sonoma. Most thought it would be mountain fruit; rather than valley floor fruit. They were surprised to see Rutherford.

Coming into its own. Blackberries, black currant, black cherries, fresh cracked pepper, bell pepper and cocoa powder/chocolate. Full bodied, subtle tannins, and a great structure that will reward over the next 5 years.

Still quite young with very pronounced tannins. Great structure and long finish on the palate. Another 5 years in the bottle will help take the tannins down a few steps and really smooth out the wine.

From Grgich, the fancy Cabernet Sauvignon: Miljenko's Selection. As good as you would expect, BUT let it sit in the decanter for a couple of hours before drinking. It's not exactly a bad wine when you first pop the cork off, and the smell is good. However, tasting too soon gives you some rawness that evaporates a little later into pure goodness and robust flavor. You'll savor this one for several minutes after you put down your glass.
