Disappoints a little relative to other Napa Cabs because it doesn't have much boldness. The fruit and tannins don't come through much either. Not too dry. Has some notes of cherry and dark berries.

Typical good $10 Cab. Dark fruits, a touch of chocolate/cocoa, a bit on the sweet side, but it had a harshness on the front of the Finish. Buy at under $12 pass if any higher.

Uppercut continues to be a phenomenal value brand for me ... traditional cabernet profile with blackberry and cedar. Reasonable length, good mouthfeel, some complexity over time.

Day 1: Loved the 15 version. Very much a fruit forward style wine with red currants and sour cherries. On the palate picks up some dust and a bit of harsh spices. Also a bit of heat. Not the most balanced wine and certainly not a wine I would enjoy drinking again. Buy 2015. I will see how this evolves on day 2. 83 points Day 2: You know a wine is bad when a vintage 2 years old is worse on day 2 and it is a red. Sour fruits, dust and earth. Drinkable but if desperate. 79 points Day 3: A little better than day 2 but not too hard to do that. 81 points Recommendation: I don't recommend.
