Nice lemon and tropical fruit notes but not a big body Chardonnay. Probably no malo-lactic fermentation. Close acid balance but maybe a bit on the tart side. Could use a bit more fruit. A steal at $3.50.

Shane & Clarice Wedding (Swissotel Merchant Court): Nose of green apple, melon, grass and mint. Fresh and fairly acidic, and the body felt surprisingly full, with salad leaves, melon, grass, pineapples and a bit of yeast. Pairing with roast duck brought out a rather intense lemony feel

Lemon colour. Fairly rich, sweet pear nose, some lemon, then quite buttery. Quite sweet on the palate, but with a nice sharpness, more butter. A little rough and disjointed, but characterful. [Screwcap; 13.5% abv; Nisa local store, ~£5.99].

Plenty of tropical fruit and a creamy pineapple finish giving quite a rounded flavor but just a bit overdone for my taste.

If a bit slight or hollow, surprisingly light and dry, with definite acidic bite and a pleasant white smokiness. Of interest among supermarket chards.
