The Wife opened this to make a Shepherds Pie as I figured that might be its best use. Surprised later as I tried a glass. Much better than expected with the Corvina showing through and quite enjoyable cherry flavors with just a hint of herbal undertones. Very drinkable and I would actually buy another bottle. Drink now.

Did not like this. Prune/plum juice. A basic chianti would be a much better choice.. Not enough acid, a bit bitter, lacking any tasty fruit (unless you like prune juice)

Interesting blend of traditional Corvina with some Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon added in. Half of the grapes are dried in the apassemento style. Beautiful aromas and flavors of dried cherries, baking spices, coffee and tobacco. Dark purple color, full bodied and velvety tannins. Vibrant acidity. Balanced and fresh.

More of a herbal, green pepper note with this bottle - in a good way. Hope this is a trend for the others. Good now, but has a couple more years left.
