This has improved so much since the last bottle I tried 1.5 years ago. This was more inviting and open. Seems like this just needed more time to come around. Glad I have one more.

Unfortunately this was corked. But you can tell from the composition of this wine it is build on elegance and has a Burgundian or Piedmont element to it that should be great. Can't wait to try another bottle but seems like it will also need a lot of air (2-3+ hours).

Similar to previous notes. What stood out was the super ripe red fruit - no sour fruit, along with a beam of bright racy acidity; even more acidity than one would expect from this already high-acid vintage. The overall effect is a very attractive, engaging wine - likely ideal with food. Will definitely benefit from a few more years of age though - it's super intense at this stage and would be better when a little more relaxed and resolved. 93+pts.

Very elegant Brunello, not as brooding and deep a profile as one might expect, this is a bit more aloof. You can sense the cooler climate aspect vs. the more ripe fruit style that many other Brunellos have. Benefitted from decanting. Very enjoyable.

This felt a bit acidic and not so inviting. I expect more from a Riserva after ten years. This will benefit from a few more years.
