Excellent Rioja Gran Reserva! A blend of 93% Tempranillo and 7% Graciano grapes. A lovely deep garnet red color in the glass with aromas of berries such as blackberries, raspberries and plums. On the palate, mouthfeel is medium to heavy bodied with complexity and textures to enjoy. Taste sensations mildly intense mirroring the wine’s aromas and with a hint of leather and tar. Finish is smooth and lingering.

Opened but not decanted , 2 hours before consumption . Paired with a southwest salad of corn, beans, tomatoes with vinegarette and tortilla chips . Very oaky on the nose - vanilla , spices, coconut and a touch of smoke. Well-balanced on the palate - medium bodied , medium acidity , but soft, integrated tannins on the sides of the tongue and a very long finish . Great QPR!

Slightest bricking in the glass, no apparent sediment. Nose has that floral redness, which I guess is isn’t exactly cherry. The mouthfeel is silky. Palate is full tilt Tempranillo, with just a hint of raison, and with great acidity remaining. We had this with pate, manchego, and a mild French blue, and really loved it. Smooth, a little soft, but with great acidity to balance that off.
