Wines Before / At / After a Passover Seder (The Krengels - Bannockburn IL): Popped and poured, there is so much here, just not yet fully accessible, and not yet fun. Dense and chewy black fruits, meaty and gamy with backward structure. An hour+ of air would have helped. Better from 2028, 92-95 point potential.

Nose: Fruit forward with cherry, red fruits and herbs.
Palate: Cherry, raspberry, berries, cassis and herbs. Tannins are ripe and integrated. Long finish.
I see why this wine can divide opinion, it's not your typical Chateauneuf. I would say it's more elegant, it doesn't have the big tannins that a lot of the classical one seem to have. It's quite fruit forward and does still has that touch of sunkissed I find in a lot of southern Rhone wines. It really is Rhone meets Burgundy. For me personally, it makes the wine a lot more approachable and I found it a really enjoyable wine.

much more enjoyable than my previous bottle. definitely a rich wine, felt a touch hot to me and the fruit was very bright and weighty. the finish was pleasant and long.

Nice and Light for a CdP. well made wine from a master. lots of fruit in the nose. medium dark red. Round and mellow on the palate - no edges. . Lots of red berries with a hint of pepper. Burgundy like with long aftertaste. Drunk on christmas eve with a 2015 that was significantly better. Still a grand wine - needs time - at least 5 years.

Watery with very modest notes of of red berries. Plain in the mouth where I really struggle to find anything that can motivate the price on this one.
