Stoic. Subtle. Simple. Aromas of red raspberry and fresh orange zest lie atop the glass. The mouthfeel is medium-light with a great dry acidity that complements the flavors of raspberry and cherry swirling within. Finish is multistage- the tanin twang fades early and a pleasant red berry flavor carries on. Drinking the 2016 vintage which feels at its peak in 2021.

Deep red ruby color. Slightly oaky with muted fruit on the nose. Muted tones in the mouth with some harsher tannins. The finish is slightly astringent but not overly problematic.

Drank at Blue Ribbon Las Vegas. Wallops of red fruit with some silkiness. Pinot Noir Merlot anyone? While somewhat simple it was nicely balance and had an intensely concentrated long fruit finish, not quite jammy, but not for your Burgundy purist. 88-89 drink with food otherwise a little overwhelming.
