A: deep garnet, slight (only) bricking around the rim N: pronounced intensity of iron, earth, wet leaves, mint, dried cranberry/raisen, mincemeat pie, fig, cocao, dried herbs. P: dry, high acidity, high fine integrated tannins with just enough bite, high ABV, full body, med (+) flavor intensity with a core of dried black fruit and cinnamon, long finish. C: outstanding wine (ok, I am partial to Aglianico), very well balanced tertiary fruit and solid tannin/acid structure, long finish, complexity on nose and on palate, intensity of fruit is lacking on palate but overall love this wine. Drink now and for next 5-8 years, do not beleive it will evolve further but will hold.

The nose was exotic and spicy with notes of dried orange peel, marine-inspired minerals, baked cherry, and sweet herbs. On the palate, I found silky textures with zesty red and black fruits, savory spices, balsamic tones, earthy iron, and graphite minerality. The finish was long with saturting dark fruits, lifting minerals and acids, offset by fine tannins.

Indigena World Tour Day 2 Afternoon: Aglianico del Vulture and Basilicata (Il Buco Alimentari & Vineria, NYC): Dirty Chocolate nose. Short. Very similar to #2 (literally and figuratively). Judgement reserved.
