Nice enough as others have commented, but "over oaked" was the dominant note for me... Maybe it just needs another 5 year, but who has time for that? :-)

This wine pleasantly surprised me—nicely aged tempranillo in new American Oak. What I like is it actually demonstrates some "sense of place" to me (Spain, but not necessarily Rioja, but it's $30), and has a good QPR. Slightly overdone on the oak, but I also enjoy the tertiary flavors the oak brings with caramel, toffee, coffee, and vanilla bean. Hence, the higher rating. Others have the drinking window at 2023-2032, but it is drinking just fine now, without a decant. Serve at ~62 degrees (16 c), and enjoy an unpretentious, nicely priced, Rioja with pork, pasta, steak or even turkey.

Not as big and structured as I was expecting but pleasant enough juice. It's a near term drinker.
