Not especially powerful, but beautiful and complex. Gentle scents of very dark fruit (cassis, blackberry), cinnamon, Andes mints, light minerals, and subtle musty tones of wine cellar and forest floor. Really classic. Palate was brighter than nose- concentrated cranberry, light earthy tones, grippy tannins, medium acid, lingering finish.
For $30 this was wonderful, extremely good QPR. Not as expressive as their Duresses 1er Cru I tried (that was also a 2015, bigger vintage), but more or less the same level of complexity, at least on the nose. I think better QPR than the 1er cru, although that was pretty good too at $40.
