This wine seems to straddle being a cab and a zin, never really forming a third identity as a pleasurable red blend. Fruit-forward, brash and hot on Day 1; minimal difference on Day 2. Probably wouldn't get this again for the price.

Turns out that this is not petite sirah, etc - it's 55% cabernet and 45% zinfandel, which explains the flavor profile. I am not a zin guy, and in this case that flavor shows up toward the finish, a rising sort of hot sweetness that I know a lot of people dig.

Mostly Petite Sirah with a little Malbec and Petit Verdot . Lots of red fruits with a little sweetness and a big punch of black pepper.
