The nose reveals, dark floral fruits interlaced with gorgeous spice. Blackberries, dark cherries, haunting blueberries, black plum, black raspberries, dark rich soil, vanilla, cinnamon, clove, limestone, crushed rock powder and amazing blue and purple florals.
The texture is elegant and beautiful. The tannins soft, tarry with velvety dust. This is so easy to drink now but, wait 6 more years. It’s fresh and delicious. Ripe; blackberries, dark cherries, haunting blueberries, black plum, black raspberries, some boysenberries, dark rich soil, vanilla, cinnamon, clove, big dark powerful spice limestone, dark rich soils, crushed rock powder and amazing blue and purple florals. The acidity is perfect. The structure, tension is still big but, the length and balance phenomenal. Can’t wait to have this in 5-6 years. The well polished finish is; elegant, persistent, heady and beautiful. Potential 95 with more in time in bottle. One tiny issue, there’s touch of alcohol burn in the back of the throat but, think it fades in time.

This is a very modern, full bodied and powerful pinot. Definitely not for the Burgundian crowd. A huge core of black cherries, strawberries, a hint of dark chocolate and some forest floor. Full bodied, with a big concentrated and flavor filled mid pallet of dark red fruit, this wine is opulent and sexy, but lacks the nuance and sophistication I would ideally like to see in a pinot. Finishes quite long.

Chateau Boswell: Once again, I concur with CRISTAL’s on-point description of this wine. Much more modern indeed, especially in comparison to the Sun Chase served before it. Dark, dark black cherry, muddled ripe raspberry, vanilla, and some orange zest. A bit too ripe and weighty for me, pummeling the palate with a singular hit of ripe, ripe fruit. Missing some focus. It is crafted of seeming quality, but any purity of fruit or complexity is over-shadowed by the sheer heaviness of the ripe fruit, making it come off as one-note.
Drink now and over the next handful of years, before the fruit collapses and becomes too misshapen.
