Rockss and Fruit

(Raspail-Ay Gigondas) What a fantastic surprise. This was opened at around 2pm today and is still evolving and opening up. Who would expect a 25 year old Gigondas to be this friggin' good. Nose of stony minerals, and a wonderful floral element along with some very ripe red fruits. A great nose that really needs some hours to truly express itself. Palate was pure and had great freshness. The fruit was ripe and fleshy with some sweet tannin and a long finish. Just fantastic.
