  • this is a great value and i could drink it all the time, Biffs with cocq au vin, the lardons were matched with the rusticity of the wine… it is not all sweet cherry rather darker smoke, earth and tar. lots of time left, minimal sediment, bit of an acid edge however was nice in the setting.

  • Second of two bottles and another disappointment. Again a mild cork taint puts it on the edge. Perhaps its not cork, though it seemed TCA, but is brett. Tried over a couple weeks on a few occasions and gave some the ziplock treatment, which helped a bit but the fruit got more muted. A shame, because it's clear there is really beautiful quality fruit underneath. It remains drinkable, but not enjoyable enough to finish the bottle.

  • Bought a case for $30 per bottle and wish I had bought 3. Such a reliable, delicious, and balanced wine. Super value.

  • Nice balance between secondary and tertiary elements, both aromatically and on the palate: lots of forest floor, but also plenty of pretty red Pinot fruit and rose petal, with a suggestion of bitter chocolate in the background. Lighter weight with good grip. The finish is surprisingly expansive. A nice treat, and as mentioned, less expensive than many a Bourgogne rouge. Looking forward to trying the 06.

  • This is just starting to develop secondary nuances, ample fruit, and color is dark at its core with some slight bricking. Quite pleasant and an excellent value.

After a few days under vacuum seal...

Priced under most recent release Bourgogne, and far more satisfying. It’s showing secondary nuances, but primary fruit is still dominating. A bit foursquare but unmistakably Burgundy, the kind of stellar value that makes me wonder why I would ever drink domestic Pinot Noir?
