Tasted a 2016 bottling. Good, complex aroma, but a bit on the "sharp" side. Flavor was kinda empty for me (expected much more from a 1929 vintage madera).

Tasted at Manhatta NY, this poured golden brown in the glass. Age creates an incredible and nearly indescribable nose. Molasses, creosote, burlap sack. This smells like a 20s industrial machine greased up with nutmeg and almond paste. On the palette I get raisin chutney, toffee apple, with secondaries of lavender and charred pineapple. Smoked, tarry finish lingers for minutes. Amazing, no score as I have too little comparative experience.
