  I'm a big fan of a solid, cheap (high qpr) tempranillo, and this didn't disappoint. Unpretentious and great with the usual Spanish/Italian food - chewy, fun, execution of the grape. Drank on a Tuesday, to give a sense of the occasion. Perfect.

  Gave this around 3 hours of air to fully open up.
  Bright purple in colour. Deep berry aromas, earthy, plums. Flavours follow with spices (cloves, licorice) on the finish. A "dark" wine. Toss in some black cherries, plummy richness. A meaty chewiness to the wine … dusty mouthfeel. Sweetness on the ripe tannins.
  Not really my cup of tea but could improve with some age.
