  • Used small portion for cooking then bottle sat open and slow O-ed multiple hours before dinner. Deep dark color. Nose shows cedar, plums, and dried dusty leaves. On the palate black fruits, cigar box, anise and hints of vanilla. Nice acid lift up front with a strong 20 second finish that reminds me of Earl Grey tea. Yes this is young and needs a bit of time for the oak/vanilla to soften but I was pleasantly surprised. Our only one so no following up later.

  • Decanted and consumed over seven hours
Dark, inky garnet in color. medium to full bodied
Plums, oak, hint of baking spice.
Acidity is high but pleasant. Unctuous. Medium finish. Dark fruit, some tobacco notes, and black tea. VERY young and should improve with age. An average wine, but decent value.

    Smoked a Salamanca cigar
