Fresh nose of East coast sea breeze. Pure expression of pineapple. Summer dreams. Prickly pear dances on a toned textural platform. Drink now or hold. Paired with cedar plank salmon.

Golden hay coloring; weighty on the palate, still with a searing acidity and focus. I get the pear and yellow citrus notes of some comments. I find a beeswax thing going on too. The fruit gives hints of sweetness, the minerality keeps it beautifully dry. Can definitely taste the Stony soil. Pretty.

Re. dry/sweet: To my mind it can be either or both depending upon the food pairing and what you hope for it to be. It tasted sweet with bitter greens and tasted dry with a chicken mushroom casserole. The sweetness hits the palate first then transitions to minerality. Its overall purity and fruitiness should compliment certain dishes (e.g. mango chutney chicken). It's not destined to become one of my favorites.

Similar impression to the 2015. Versatile, with or without food, works at just about any temperature Glycerine, lemon, roundness.

Grapefruit, tart strawberry, limestone. Hints of tart pear. Dry and crisp with nice complexity. Cellared for three years.
