Sweet and creamy on the nose with honey, ginger, melon, lemon-lime. Brighter on the palate with more citrus and a little green apple but essentially similar profile.
M+ acid, medium dry but tastes less sweet than you’d think for 60g/L—comes off barely more than off dry with food.
Good with a spread of grilled green beans + crispy spicy chickpeas + curry yogurt sauce, limey cantaloupe over honey mascarpone, and gazpacho.
At this price ($20) there are other Riesling I’d rebuy before this one but it’s good enough.
~6/10

More than two years in the cellar has tamed the acid in this wine and brought forth a plump, fizzy, fruity wine. Great mouthfeel and persistence. Has not developed more complexity but retained its affable personality over time. Drink now. Excellent 92.

This is a great impersonation of a German spatlese (late harvest). Better day 2.

Sweet, slightly out of balance. Needs food to settle it down.

Versus a Kabinett, it's lacking that acid/RS tension but this somewhat softer, creamier style is nevertheless appealing.
